What is a dry verge? Dry verge systems, or dry-fixing, is a roofing system that involves caps or verges that interlock, clipping over the edge of the roof tiles, protecting the tiles, keeping them secured, and preventing water and pests from entering the roof space.
If you are fitting dry verge to an existing roof then you will need to install some type of support system. This is usually done by nailing battens onto the roof and then attaching the dry verge to the battens. The size of the batten will depend on the width of the verge but they should be no more than 400mm apart.
